Selph Boss maren Design

Hey There, welp guess it's time to unveil my own personal idea of what "Selph" might look like. For those of you unaware: Selph was suppose to be another boss maren you we're suppose to fight before wizemen but he was scrapped. His "exsistance" was discoered when someone found his boss slot and some music to accompany him by. Course thats about as much as anyone knows, there were no character designs or anything so many NiGHTS fan's have imagined up their own version of him.



This one is my own design for Selph. His design and color we're based on the other nightmaren bosses, wizeman and NiGHTS. While some fan's have speculated that he was to look like a 1st level maren in some for or manner. Some went with a disign based on animal appearences/ making him look really animalistic. Other's went with a jackle approach to compliment the mantle maren.



For me I decied a mix of both 1st level marens (Aka Reala/NiGHTS) with Jackle and a hint of wizeman in my design for him. Due to the fact Selph is a very clouded character most people like to try and build him in some sense exposed and brightened with colors eluding to mirrors or a bright complimentary color based on the "Nightmaren" ColorWheel. For me I decied his main color would be black with complimentary colors based on the more common colors shared among the nightmaren. I was trying to go for a look that woud make him fit in with them while also at the same time giving him his own unique look.

These two pictures are just guides and such for his design. I actually have other sketches of his working expressions and everything, but It's been a while since I did serious art so things for him will be getting more up to date, but I wanted to share his design first. I'm currently working on more sketches aswell as his room design so thats in the WIP pile atm.

Anyway so yeah this is my own design for Selph
